Our Mission

Christians for Impact helps Christians to have a maximum impact on the world’s most pressing pressing problems. Our approach is guided by the principles of effective altruism and grounded in our Christian faith.

CFI Needs:

We are open to pitches for a range of positions on full-time or contract basis.

We currently have the following bottlenecks:

  1. Scaling our web content from about 10k monthly website visitors (goal 20k by year-end).

  2. Growing our conferences. Our annual conference is one of the best ways for someone to engage with our advice. Our recent conference had 160 persons and the Archbishop of Canterbury. By 2028, we aim to have conferences of similar calibre with 500+ attendees.

  3. Generating more signups for our 1-on-1 career advising (currently around 100 signups/year) and 1-on-1s for the EA for Christians website. These are core ways we can encourage effective giving (e.g. 10% pledge) and impactful career choice.

  4. Building partnerships with communities in our core audience. These would include US/UK student groups who care about social action, particularly in our cause areas.

This might also include church partnerships.

  5. Building engaging webtools or content that generate leads.

    Examples include:

    1. New interactive quizes about impactful careers, like this one.

    2. A new CFI career app incorporating our distinctive angles.

    3. High-quality video series and weekly curriculum about Christianity, impactful careers and effective giving (e.g. Alpha, Practicing The Way).

  6. Researching effective missions

    • There’s a need for high-quality research into effective missions. We’re interested in folks with social science research experience who would be interested in expanding our charity recommendations or engaging in rigorous academic studies on the effectiveness of church planting / discipleship making charities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • We’re prepared to pay a competitive salary for talented applicants.

Perks of Working with CFI

  • Mission-Driven Impact: Join an early-stage charity poised for significant long-term impact. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a growing movement at the intersection of faith and effective altruism, directly helping others lead more impactful lives.

  • Collaborative Team: Work with a small but motivated, talented, faith-driven team who love their work. We foster a supportive, collaborative culture with regular team fellowship, prayer, and idea-sharing.

  • Networking & Leadership: Collaborate closely with senior church leaders, impactful nonprofits, and effective altruist organizations. You’ll build a strong network across both Christian ministry circles and global impact-focused communities.

  • Growth Opportunities: As CFI grows, so can your role. There are opportunities for professional development and promotion based on performance.
